Wholeness

Glory to God!

The Lord is restoring us! As He continues to reveal Truth to us, we are being healed - spirit, soul and body. Yesterday the Lord spoke to us about being healed spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically as we align our thinking and our lifestyle to the truth of His Word. The Lord showed us how we need to be made whole from the inside out so that we reveal the wholeness God intends for His Kingdom people. We praise God that it is His will to heal us through and through and that we can enter into wholeness by faith and obedience. Hallelujah!

Quote of the week:

"'...I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the Lord." Jeremiah 30:17

The anchor of our soul

Hallelujah!

God is awesome! It has been another exciting week together with the Lord! More and more people are attending the prayer meetings and the Lord is continuing to pour out spiritual revelation to help us know Him more and walk in His ways.

Yesterday the Holy Spirit led us gently into the Lord's presence as we worshiped and took communion together. God is revealing the significance of the Lord's Table to us more and more and yesterday He showed us how the taking of the body and the blood of Jesus is a prophetic act that realises the past and the future. "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" (Revelation 19:10), and as we take of the bread and the wine, we remember Christ's death (past) and proclaim His death (present) until He comes again (future) - 1 Cor. 11:23-26. As we partook of the Body of Christ there was an overwhelming and powerful sense of His presence (The bread of the Presence - Exodus 25:30) as we proclaimed the victory of Christ's death on the cross over sin, sickness and all the power of the enemy! Hallelujah!

Continuing with learning to pray and living a lifestyle of prayer, the Lord spoke to us yesterday about the true meaning of hope. This is what He showed us:

  1. The world's understanding of hope is: hoping that something may happen but with the possibility of it not taking place.
  2. The Bible's understanding of hope is: certain expectation (Heb.11:1)
  3. God has given us His Word to inspire hope (Rom.15:4)
  4. God wants us to have divine hope that is certain of the outcome (Rom.4:16-25)
  5. God has placed hope in us - Christ the hope of glory (Col.1:24-29)
  6. Having this hope cleanses us (1 John 3:3)
  7. God wants us to overflow with hope (Rom. 15:13)
  8. Hope strengthens us (Isa.40:27-31)
  9. Hope is the anchor of the soul that enters into the Most Holy Place (Heb.6:17-20)

Hope is the anchor of the soul that enters into the Most Holy Place!

We praise God for His faithfulness and for His wonderful encouragement! Yesterday evening we minstered to the poor and needy with a team of 20 people! Glory to God! Our people are eager to know God and do His will to see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. Thank you Jesus!

Quote of the week:

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13

Covenant Membership

Praise the Lord!

This past Sunday we had our first "covenant Sunday" when six people became covenant members of Kingdom Life! We believe that covenant membership is about:

Unity in the spirit:
  • Establishing one's spiritual covenant with Christ and one another
  • Establishing God's call on one's life to be part of the local Body
  • Establishing one's commitment to one another to live in fellowship

Unity in the soul:
  • Expressing one's unity of mind, heart and will - i.e. expressing one's agreement with the values, beliefs, vision, passion and purpose of KLF

Unity in the body:
  • Exercising one's unity - i.e. devoting one's time, energy and resources to the Body very practically (Acts 2:42-47)

We believe that becoming a covenant member is about establishing in the natural what is already taking place in the spirit. A covenant is because of relationship and not for relationship! One doesn't become a member to begin one's commitment to the local Body but rather, one makes a covenant with the local Body to establish what is already taking place in spirit, soul and body.

We are excited about this significant step in the life of KLF as we recognise it as being the beginning of God's promise to establish KLF this year! Hallelujah!

Quote of the week:

"The Church is to be a body of people living in covenant unity with their Lord in heaven; and in covenant love for one another." Colin Urquhart

At the Source!

Glory to God!

The Lord is speaking to us about the River of Revival and He is showing us how to step into it! Beginning at the Source, the very presence of God, the Lord is revealing to us how we are to enter in and worship Him. Continuing our study in John 4, the Lord is teaching us that:
  1. We can worship anywhere at anytime (vs 21)
  2. We must worship what we know - not what we only know about (vs 22)
  3. We can only worship in spirit if we are saved and have received the Holy Spirit (vs 22)
  4. We must worship in spirit - songs that minister to the soul are not worship (vs 23)
  5. We must worship in spirit because God is spirit (vs 24; Phil.3:3)
  6. We must worship in truth - sincerely and God's way according to His Word (vs 24)
  7. We must understand that God is seeking true worshippers (vs 23)

We also looked at the difference between the spirit, the soul (mind, will and emotions) and the body (1 Thess. 5:23) and we saw that it is the Word of God that helps us to distinguish what is of us (the soul) and what is of the Spirit (Heb. 4:12) so that we learn to walk in the Spirit and worship in the Spirit.

"The Christian life is all about the soul being sanctified by the Spirit so that we reveal the Father's heart, the mind of Christ and the will of the Holy Spirit!"

We are also greatly encouraged by the amazing truth that through faith in Jesus, the veil has been removed so that we have access by the Spirit to behold and reflect the glory of God! (2 Cor. 3:16-18)

The Lord is continuously confirming what He is saying to KLF through other people. This past week a number of pastors and leaders from different churches and organisations met for prayer in an old water tower that overlooks Frankfurt. The Lord was speaking through different people about how it's time for the water to flow and how it is not to be only stored up for personal use. He is speaking to the churches about getting into the world and sharing the Living Water!

Yesterday evening we joined Treffpunkt Leben in providing spiritual and physical food for the poor and homeless. God is bringing more and more people but we need more space! We estimate that there must have been over 80 people present that we had to feed in shifts so that everyone could get a seat and be satisfied. We're praying for a larger location where people can come and find rest and have the opportunity to share their life stories and burdens with us so that we can minister God's presence, His power and His love to them.

Quote of the week:

"But thinking is not enough. Men are made to worship also, to bow down and adore in the presence of the mystery inexpressible. Man’s mind is not the top pea, of his nature. Higher than his mind is his spirit, that something within him which can engage the supernatural, which under the breath of the Spirit can come alive and enter into conscious communion with heaven, can receive the divine nature and hear and feel and see the eneffable wonder that is God…." A.W. Tozer
