Touching the nations

Praise be the God!

This past week was wonderful. The Lord is continuing to bless us with spiritual revelation, wisdom and knowledge to know Him more and we are seeing people being set free by the Truth! Hallelujah!

Yesterday we had the privilege of having pastors Joseph and Geetha Komanapalli visit KLF. The Lord is doing a wonderful work through this godly couple in India where they are ministering to the poorest of the poor on the south- eastern coast of India in the area of Andhra Pradesh. Their work supported by Hermon Living Waters Ministries is exstensive and we are blessed to be able to contribute both financially and practically to this anointed ministry. To find out more about HLWM and the Komanapallis, click here.

Pastor Geetha brought God's Word and the Lord spoke to us about living a life of faith. In particular the Lord addressed our need to identify temptation and sin that seek to undermine and weaken our faith. We were encouraged to take hold of God's promises and walk in them!

We praise God for the way He is continuously encouraging us to stand firm in our faith as we possess His promises, dwell in them and stand firm in them.

This Friday and Saturday we will be having our KLF Training Days with Bengt Wedemalm and we are expecting to break through into deeper levels of faith that will release even more miracles, signs and wonders in KLF, Frankfurt and across the globe! God is able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we can possibly ask or think according to his power that is at work within us! Hallelujah! For more information on this weekend click here.

This Sunday Gayle Claxton of Voice in the City will be ministering to KLF and we are looking forward to another Spirit-filled encounter with God and one another! For more information on Gayle and Voice in the City click here.

We praise God for all the awesome things He is doing in us and through us and we are continuing to prepare for greater things as we expand our territory in the natural in anticipation of both numerical growth and spiritual growth. Our move to CZF on the 31st of this month is significant and we believe that this move is a move into new beginnings as we enter into the next season of God's work with us and through us. Glory to the King of kings! For more information on the move click here.

Quote of the week:

"I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'" Matthew 17:20

Supernatural Peace

Glory to the Prince of Peace!

We praise God for blessing us with His presence and revelation so that we can know Him more and make Him known! Yesterday's meeting was glorious as the Holy Spirit led us into the throne room of grace, mercy, glory and power! Hallelujah!

The Lord is continuing to speak to us about spiritual love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience and a sincere faith (1 Tim. 1:5) and yesterday He showed us the following:

The purpose of Christ's death on the cross was to:

  1. Reconcile man to God (2 Cor. 5:11-21) so that man can have peace with God (Rom. 5:1; Is. 53:4,5) and be cleansed of a guilty conscience (Heb. 9:8-15).
  2. Reconcile man to other believers so that we can live at peace with one another and with a clear conscience (Eph. 2:11-18; Acts 24:16).
  3. The cross symbolises the vertical reconciliation of man to God and the horizontal reconciliation of man to man.
  4. Christ's death on the cross therefore enables the believer to live at peace with God and with others and to have a clear conscience with God and with man.

This Sunday we will be having a New Life Celebration at the EFG in Eschersheim (please check last week's blog) and we are looking forward to Richard Maybery's visit next week!

Quote of the week:

"His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit." Eph. 2:15-18

Suffering

Glory to the King of kings!

We praise God for spiritual revelation, understanding, knowledge and wisdom without which we cannot search the deep things of God! (1 Cor. 2:10, 12-14)

The Lord is speaking to us about suffering and that every Christian is called to suffer if he is to share in the glory (Rom. 8:17; Phil. 3:10; Phil. 1:29; Rom. 5:3). God is also helping us understand what suffering is not and what it really is and showed us on Sunday that:

Suffering is not:

  1. Fatalism - tolerating all physical or emotional pain as God's will
  2. Introspection - focusing on self, self-pity
  3. Always physical or emotional pain
  4. Misery - sorrow

The definition for suffering we've been given is:

To suffer is to bear the consequences of living for God for the sake of others and for the glory of God!

The Lord showed us that:

Suffering is:

  1. Bearing purposefully - actively and purposefully bearing the consequences of living for God as a conqueror and not as a victim!
  2. God-consciousness and not self-centredness
  3. Uncomfortable but not always painful
  4. Joy and not misery

Looking at 1 Peter 2:20-24 we saw that:

  • Jesus suffered purposefully by bearing our sins so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness and be healed (vs 24)
  • Jesus was God-conscious when He suffered as He entrusted Himself to the Father
  • Jesus' death on the cross was certainly not comfortable
  • Jesus' suffering was in the context of joyful obedience for the sake of others and for the glory of the Father (Hebrews 12:2)

We praise God for the truth He is revealing to us that sets us free, that revives us, that encourages us and that empowers us to live for others and for His glory! Hallelujah.

Yesterday, Richard, Frances and David returned from a 3 day leaders' conference at Kingdom Faith in Horsham, England. The conference was excellent and we have returned encouraged and filled as we met with the Lord and received from Him through His presence, His Word and His love. We are very excited about how the Spirit of God is saying the same things to His Church all over the world and that what the Holy Spirit was saying to His people at the conference is very much what we are hearing Him say to Kingdom Life. Much of the emphasis was on being dependent on the Holy Spirit, learning to follow Him and submitting to Him in obedience. God was also challenging us as leaders to understand that there are no short cuts in the anointing and that every believer needs to grow in his own personal relationship with the Lord if he wants to grow in the anointing of the Spirit. We praise God for unity in the Spirit!

As we grow in our relationship with Kingdom Faith, we are also seeking to work together more and more in building God's Kingdom. For this purpose we are looking into having two students from Kingdom Faith Training College visit KLF for a month (mid-June to mid-July) to bless and be blessed as they come to serve and receive opportunities to be trained as we work together. Furthermore we are excited to possibly have Jonathon Dyke and a couple others on his apostolic team come and visit us again before the Summer.

This Sunday we will be having a New Life Celebration in the Baptist church in Eschersheim when will be baptising two young believers! Hallelujah!

God is absolutely amazing! He is orchestrating relationships and connections across the globe in the most awesome ways. He loves to demonstrate His sovereignty and ability to do exceedingly abundantly more than we could possibly think or imagine. Thank you Lord!

Quote of the week:

"The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." Romans 8:16,17

Following the Spirit

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ!

The Lord is teaching us what it means to walk in the Spirit and yesterday we saw that to follow the Holy Spirit is to submit to His authority. We learned that,

  • Submission is positioning one's self under the will of God.
  • To submit is to give permission.
  • True submission is choosing to obey God's will.
  • Obedience to the Law is forced obedience but the way of the Spirit is chosen obedience.
  • Authority means source of power.
  • Jesus is the Author of our faith and therefore the source of power in our lives.
  • To believe in Jesus as Lord is to surrender one's will to His will so that He becomes the source of power in our lives and not self.
  • To know Jesus as Lord is to submit to His authority.

The Lord also showed us that the natural reflects the spiritual and therefore our attitude towards authority in the natural reflects our attitude towards spiritual authority. Examples of authority are:

  1. Parents and children. Col. 3:20; Eph. 6:1-3
  2. Husband and wife. 1 Peter 3:1-7
  3. Spiritual leaders and church. Heb. 3:17
  4. Individuals and the law of the land. 1 Peter 2:13-19
  5. The believer and the Word of God. James 1:22,23
  6. The believer and the Lord. James 4:7; John 14:15; Rom. 8:14

We need to recognise that the way we treat the authorities in our lives demonstrates our attitude toward all authority, both natural and spiritual because God appoints authority in our lives! We also need to understand that true submission is unconditional. That means it is not based on whether the authority is perfect or whether the authority meets one's expectation of what a leader needs to be before one will submit to them. True submission means submitting unconditionally to God's appointed authority so that the believer can in turn exercise authority. It is only when we come under authority that we can exercise authority (Matthew 8:5-13; James 4:6,7)

If God doesn't reign in you, He won't reign through you!

The Lord is preparing us to be a habitation for His presence, power and love and we praise Him for teaching us His way to true revival! Hallelujah!

This Friday we will be celebrating Christ's victory and triumph over sin, death and the devil as we meet together to worship and reflect on the passion of Christ. The meeting is at 3pm at Treffpunkt Leben followed by "Kaffee und Kuchen."

We're also looking forward to our next New Life Celebration on the 6th of April at the Freie Evangelische Gemeinde Nord-West in Eschersheim where we will be baptising some new lives in Christ.

God is moving in Frankfurt and we're excited to support a wonderful project called Himmel über Frankfurt (www.himmelueberfrankfurt.de) that seeks to proclaim the Word of God on posters all over Frankfurt and to encourage the Body of Christ to join together to lift up the name of Jesus! We would like to encourage all who read this to come and join us on the 20th of September as we march through the streets of Frankfurt for Jesus!

Walking in the Spirit

You are amazing, Jesus!

As the Lord takes us to the deep part of the River of Revival (Ezekiel 47:5) He is showing us how to walk in the Spirit. We are learning that as born-again believers, born of God (John 3:3; 1 John 5:1), we are in this world but not of this world; we are in the body/flesh but not of the body/flesh (John 17:14-19; Gal. 2:20; 2Cor. 4:16-5:10; 1 Peter 1:13). Therefore, having been set free from the power and influence of the world, the flesh and the devil, the believer has the freedom to choose life or death; a life according to the flesh and the world or the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:5,12-14). The Lord is showing us that we need to do 3 things if we are to walk in the Spirit and grow in Him.

  1. Position. We need to position ourselves so that we are free to make right choices.
  2. Deny self. We need to recognise the will of self and the flesh and not give in to its desires.
  3. Follow. We need to discern the Holy Spirit's will and follow Him.

By exercising PDF (positioning oneself, denying self and following the Holy Spirit), we will practice the presence of God as we continuously fix our minds on what the Spirit desires. This abiding in the Spirit and learning to yield to Him helps the believer not only to grow in the Spirit but also to release the presence and power of God. Hallelujah!

Yesterday we had another wonderful opportunity to feed the poor and to bring the Kingdom of God into their lives. It is such a blessing to see people respond to God's presence and we are delighted that 2 more people gave their lives to Jesus yesterday and will be baptised at our next New Life Celebration on the 6 April! Glory to God!

We praise God for adding to our number but most of all we are thrilled with what God is doing in us and through us. He is truly taking us into the deep end in our worship and our walk with Him. Thank you Lord!

Quote of the week:

"This practice of the Presence of God is somewhat hard at the outset, yet pursued faithfully, it works imperceptibly within the soul most marvellous effects; it draws down God's grace abundantly, and leads the soul insensibly to the ever-present vision of God, loving and beloved, which is the most spiritual and most real, the most free and most life-giving manner of prayer." Immersed in the River!

Praise the Lord!

We give God all the glory for what He is doing in the lives of the people of Kingdom Life! Yesterday we met in the Evangelisch-Freikirchliche Gemeinde Frankfurt-Nordwest to have a New Life Celebration. Five people were baptised and 3 people recommitted their lives to Jesus. Hallelujah! As the building of Treffpunkt Leben, where we usually meet, doesn't have a baptismal pool, TPL also meets in the EFG Frankfurt-Nordwest to baptise their people. After the baptisms and recommitments we prayed for the 8 people to be filled with the Holy Spirit and the Lord spoke to each person through prophetic words given to various people in the body. It was a very special time indeed!

After the meeting we gathered together at a local restaurant to celebrate KLF's 6 month "birthday" and to simply enjoy one another. What made the evening particularly significant was that everyone was invited to a meal but that everyone gave according to what they were able to. We therefore collected what everyone liked to contribute so that everyone could be blessed. Our desire is to cultivate a spirit of generosity in our people who share with one another according to what God has blessed them with. If we are generous in the church, we will be generous as the church in the world!

"Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.....All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had." Acts 2:45; 4:32

God's favour is upon us! He is opening up His Word to us in a most wonderful way through spiritual revelation (1 Cor. 2:10, Eph. 1:17). Yesterday the Lord showed us some amazing truth concerning the believer's walk in the Spirit. Looking at Luke 3 & 4 we saw the following:
  1. God loves, and is well pleased with those who have surrendered their lives to Him because He sees us as He sees His own Son, Jesus. Luke 3:21,22
  2. Through Jesus the believer becomes the righteousness of God, dearly loved by the Father. 2 Cor. 5:21; 1 John 3:1
  3. Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert where He was tempted by the devil. Luke 4:1,2
  4. The Father's will was for Jesus to be absolutely obedient to Him, in order for Jesus to reveal the Father.
  5. Satan tempted Jesus to serve self (the desires of the body and the soul - mind, emotions and will) so that Jesus would do His own will rather than the Father's will. Luke 4:3,6,7,9
  6. The 40 days are significant as they represent the spiritual walk of the believer. Luke 4:2
  7. The 40 days of the flood represent the destruction of the old to release the new and signify the release of the Holy Spirit in the believer's life. Gen. 7:11
  8. Both 40 day accounts speak of the same thing:

as the believer denies self (Luke 4:1-12) and yields to the Holy Spirit,
streams of Living Water will flow from within the believer (John 7:38,39) and without as the "springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens" are opened (Gen. 7:11) so that the believer walks in the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:14)!

Glory to God! Our prayer is that we, as Kingdom Life, will increasingly learn to deny self and yield to the Holy Spirit so that streams of Living Water will flow out of us to release God's presence, power and love! Lord have your way.

Releasing the River!

Glory to God!

This past week has been amazing! God is speaking very clearly to us in our meetings (Tuesday's men's meeting at McPrayer; Tuesday's prayer meeting and the women's meeting on Wednesdays)! The Holy Spirit is teaching us how we are to keep in step with Him and last Friday KLF's youth had an awesome time moving with the Holy Spirit's agenda. We found ourselves spending most of the time worshipping and declaring God's truth over our lives and then being led to prophesy over one another as the Lord spoke to each one of the Impactors individually about the desires of their hearts. It was a very powerful time as the Holy Spirit ministered to these young adults and words were given to them that encouraged and edified them (1 Cor. 14:3).

Yesterday's meeting was another profound encounter with our Lord. During the worship, the Lord impressed upon us that He wanted us to take communion by receiving the bread and wine kneeling before Him as a response to His Lordship over our lives. People therefore came to the front and knelt before the King of Kings as they received the bread and the wine. It was very powerful.

The Lord then spoke to us about how His heart's desire is for a people who will reveal His nature so that all men would be drawn to Him. We saw that the Church has been deceived into believing that the Christian life is all about the self being trained to become more like Jesus. God showed us and reminded us that the believer is the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5:21) and that He has called us to reveal His nature. This has been His intention from the moment man was created in God's likeness (Gen.1:26)! The Christian life, therefore, is about denying self and yielding to the Holy Spirit so that His nature is revealed through us.

In conjunction with this, the Lord is teaching us what it really means to stand in grace (Romans 5:1) and how we must reckon ourselves dead to the power of sin (Romans 6:2), free from the penalty of sin (Romans 5:18) and free from the law (Romans 7:4) but alive to God. Hallelujah!

We praise God for what He is doing in us and through us. One of our teens testified to his school about God's healing miracle in his life with the result that the school used the testimony as part of a larger "collage" of testimonies to relate the students' "stories that should never be forgotten!" Our people are building relationships with the homeless on the streets and risking more and more for His glory with words of knowledge for complete strangers and seeing God touch their lives.

We are very excited about next Sunday as we will be celebrating new lives in Christ as we baptise 6 people, including one of our "homeless" friends. God is stirring people to commit their lives to Him and live only for Him. We will be meeting in the Evangelisch-Freikirchliche Gemeinde Frankfurt-Nordwest in the Frankfurt suburb of Eschersheim. Glory to God!

Quote of the week:

"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:20,21 (emphasis mine)

Touching the Throne and touching the world

Glory to God!

This past week has been a week of touching the world and touching the throne of God! Hallelujah! A few of our people went onto the streets of inner city Frankfurt to "Risk for His Glory!" They simply made themselves available to be used of God to touch the lost. By offering prayer for the sick (both rich and poor!), and providing food and items of urgent need (like nappies for a 3 month old baby!) for the homeless, Kingdom Life is touching the world with God's presence, power and love - we are touching the kingdom of this world with the Kingdom of God!

Here is a short testimony:

"On Tuesday of this week Stephanie and Maureen, led by the Holy Spirit approached and spoke to several men and women with various obvious physical needs. Wheelchairs, amputations and walking sticks etc. All but a couple were happy to be prayed for when offered. They shared brief and pleasant times in conversation with them about their personal circumstances and how Jesus can and wants to answer all their needs. On Wednesday at NWZ (shopping mall) again they were led to pray with a lady in a wheelchair. There was ground claimed for Christ and much prayer and praise of God released into the streets of Frankfurt ...and in Starbuck's at NWZ!"

Yesterday's meeting was amazing! The Lord is teaching us about worship and the kind of worshippers He seeks. Looking at John 4, we saw that:

1. We can worship anywhere (vs 21)
2. We worship what we know and not just what we know about (vs 22)
3. We must worship in spirit and in truth (vs 23)
4. God is spirit and so we must worship by the Spirit (vs 24; 1 Cor. 3:9-14)

We also saw that man is made up of spirit, soul and body (1 Thess.5:23; Heb. 4:12) and that to worship in spirit we need to learn to distinguish between what is soul and what is spirit.

After some exciting testimonies and teaching, we spent the remainder of our meeting, worshipping the Lord. God is truly anointing our people to be led by His Spirit so that new songs are being written and spontaneous new songs are being sung during our worship. It's simply awesome!

We praise God for His favour upon us and for teaching us to move with Him. If revival is the breathing of life into the Body then it's happening! God is breathing and releasing His Spirit in us so that we experience spiritual life to touch the world. Freely we have received, freely we must give (Matt. 10:8).

Entering in!

Thank you Lord!

This past week IMPACT! met together for an exciting time exploring God's Word and meeting with Him. We are working through Neil Anderson's Freedom in Christ Discipleship Course and last Friday we looked at session 5, dealing with the choices we make. The chapter covered the important teaching on the differences between the natural person, the spiritual person and the fleshly or wordly person as Paul describes in 1 Cor. 2. We learned that "although we still have urges that tend to pull us away from relying completely on God and following the promptings of His Spirit, we no longer have to give in to them but are free to choose."

Yesterday's meeting was yet another dynamic time with the Lord. He is beginning to free us even more in worship to flow with the Holy Spirit. He is giving us a greater sensitivity to His anointing and yesterday the Lord gave us a new song with which to worship Him. Prophetic songs and new songs are being given to our people and we are excited to increasingly learn how to move with the Holy Spirit and release His anointing in our times together with each other and with Him.

The Lord is speaking to us about the River of Revival and yesterday we looked at how God wants us to enter into His presence at the source. Studying Hebrews 10:19-24, the Lord showed us that we must enter His presence by the new and living way which is:

  1. With confidence
  2. By the blood of Jesus
  3. By the body of Jesus
  4. Through our great Priest
  5. With sincerity of heart
  6. With full assurance of faith
  7. With a cleansed heart and body
  8. With unswerving hope
  9. By God's faithful promise

We praise God that we can meet with Him in the Most Holy Place at the source of the River of Revival!

We are waiting for the recognition of KLF as a charity by the tax authorities after which we can then proceed with the application for a licence and for formal recognition as a charity organisation by the city. This may take 4 -6 weeks.

With the vision the Lord has given us we are well aware of the fact that we will need to move to a larger facility soon. We praise God for His provision and look forward to what He has in store for us. Thank you Lord that you withhold nothing from those whose walk is blameless! (Psalm 84:11)
