We're back!

Glory to the King of kings!

We're back! 33 of us attended this year's Faith Camp in Peterborough, England where between 5000 to 6000 people gathered together for a week of camping, worshipping, teaching, fellowship and lots of fun! We had a brilliant time and have returned filled and excited about what God imparted into our lives and is going to do this next half of the year! See pictures here...

On Saturday many believers joined together from Frankfurt and many other cities in Germany to march for Jesus at the annual International Jesus March. It was another great opportunity to proclaim the name of Jesus over our city and demonstrate the unity of the Church in seeing Jesus glorified in our city and country!

It was wonderful to meet again yesterday after our two week summer break. We are excited about how God confirmed at Faith Camp what He has been saying to us previously and we are confident that we are continuing to walk according to His will and purpose for us. Yesterday the Lord spoke to us about Kingdom Culture and this is what He showed us:

  1. The Kingdom of God is a present reality that is being established on earth as it is in heaven, now! Col. 1:15; Matthew 13:11,41; Luke 12:32; 17:21
  2. Believers are "sons of the Kingdom." Matthew 13:38
  3. Believers are responsible for producing the fruit of the Kingdom. Matthew 21:43

The Kingdom of God is like yoghurt...

  1. Yoghurt is a live culture that gives life to the "dead" milk it is immersed in. Similarly we have received Kingdom culture that has given us life that enables us to impart life. 2 Peter 1:3,4
  2. Yoghurt changes the appearance of the milk it is immersed in. Similarly we are changed by Kingdom culture and are responsible for developing Kingdom culture wherever we are so that a visbile change in appearance is achieved (behaviour, attitude, etc). Matthew 5:13-16
  3. Yoghurt restricts the growth of food poisoning bacteria. Similarly Kingdom culture will restrict the work of the devil's kingdom!
  4. Yoghurt produces a characteristic flavour in the milk. Similarly Kingdom culture has a particular flavour that must be produced in us and wherever we seek to develop Kingdom culture.
  5. Yoghurt is produced in a sterile container. Similarly Kingdom culture is developed in vessels that remain pure and holy!
  6. Only 10% yoghurt culture is needed to change milk completely into yoghurt. Similarly only a few who carry Kingdom culture can influence many to produce Kingdom culture. Matthew 13:31-33
  7. The Yoghurt/Milk mixture needs to incubate until it is set. Similarly believers must continue to develop Kingdom culture until there is visible change.
  8. The yoghurt that has been developed can be used to make more yoghurt. Similarly Kingdom culture can be multiplied but it must be made from an orginal "batch." The believer must develop his own Kingdom culture directly from the Source and not try to copy another culture.

As sons of the Kingdom of God, we are called to produce the fruit of the Kingdom now as we allow God's Kingdom (His rule and reign) to transform us, and as we reveal and release God's Kingdom through us, to produce Kingdom culture wherever we are (home, church, work, world, etc)!

This Friday and Saturday, we have the privilege of having pastors Les and Dot Mitchell from Kingdom Faith London with us. They will be teaching us on prophetic intercession as we learn to pray God's will on earth as it is in heaven. Both meetings will be held at Treffpunkt Leben (Kurfürstenstr.14, Frankfurt-Bockenheim) at 7.30pm and 6.00pm respectively.

Quote of the week:

"Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit." Matthew 21:43

Tribus

Praise be to God!

On Sunday we had a brazilian dance group called TRIBUS join us at our meeting. We were blessed to have them with us and be inspired to worship in dance. Tribus is leading an exciting dance-workshop from the 15th - 17th July at CZF from 9am - 4pm. You can find out more about these passionate worshippers here...

On Sunday we experienced great freedom in our worship and the Lord spoke to us about looking to Abraham as our example of a worshipper after God's own heart (Isaiah 51:1,2). Looking at Genesis 22:1-19, the Lord showed us that true worshippers are:

  • an obedient people. Gen. 22:3
  • a people of faith. Gen. 22:4
  • a sacrificing people. Gen. 22:10

Further, the Lord showed us that times of testing are an opportunity to receive an even deeper revelation of God! We praise God for His awesome revelation and for teaching us to be passionate worshippers.

Faith Camp '09 is approaching quickly and over 30 of us will be attending this exciting week of worship, teaching, community, revelation, encountering God, connecting with others from all over the world and loads of fun. Check here for more info...

After our Summer Break from 27 July - 10 August we will have pastors Les and Dot Mitchell with us to lead and train us in prayer at Treffpunkt Leben on the 21st and 22nd August. Check here for more info...

True Revival

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ!

These are awesome times of refreshing! God is revealing Himself to us through spiritual understanding, wisdom and knowledge so that we are filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Hallelujah!

Yesterday the Lord showed us what true revival is and He revealed to us that:

Revival is God saturating His people with Himself.

  • When the Spirit of God drenches man with His presence, power and love; man responds in his spirit, soul (mind, heart and will) and body.
  • Revival is God's connecting heaven and earth.
  • God's people are revived as they release God's Spirit within them to be connected to heaven (Gen. 7:11; Mt 3:13-17; Acts 19:1-6).
  • Faith connects heaven and earth.

Consequently, a revived people overflow with God and reveal His nature and release His power. Hallelujah!

The Lord confirmed His Word yesterday as everyone was drenched in the Holy Spirit and saturated with God! Praise be to our wondeful King who has lavished His love upon us!

Exciting upcoming events and important dates:

14th June & 5th July: Homeless mission - an opportunity to feed the poor spiritually and physically and to overflow with the love of God.
4th July: International Family Day - a fun day out for everyone on the Lohrberg from 14h00 - 20h00 with food, games, face-painting, entertainment and more!
5th July: New Life Celebration - we will be meeting together and baptising believers at the Baptist church in Eschersheim (Haeberlinstr.3) on that Sunday.
27th July - 10th August: No church meetings - most of KLF will be at Faith Camp in Peterborough, England.
15th August: Jesus March in Frankfurt - more details here...
21st - 23rd: Prayer Workshop with Les and Dot Mitchell, pastors of Kingdom Faith London.

Quote of the week:

"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." John 7:37,38

Check list for effective praying!

Glory to God!

We are so encouraged! Yesterday's meeting was very powerful! The children kicked the worship off by spontaneously chanting, "Jesus, Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords" and we very quickly moved into a time of powerful worship and declaration of Jesus' victory and power over all the work of the enemy. We sensed God giving us significant breakthrough as we submitted to Him, proclaimed His truth over our lives, and resisted the enemy (James 4:7,8). Hallelujah!

The Lord is teaching us to pray and we're learning to go to new levels in communion with God. Yesterday the Lord gave us a checklist for effective prayer as Alexander Blair shared the following:

As we approach God in prayer we need to ask ourselves certain questions to ensure that there are no hindrances to our prayers being answered:

  1. Do I have unconfessed sin in my life? Psalm 66:18; 2 Sam. 21:1-14; 1 John 1:9
  2. Am I continuing to "practice evil deeds"?
  3. Am I listening for God's correction in my life? Prov.28:9; 1 Sam. 13:1-15
  4. Do I have a clear conscience when asking in prayer? 1 John 3:21; 5:14,15
  5. Am I praying with faith and believing that God will answer my prayer? Mark 11:23,24
  6. Does God's Word abide in me or is God's Word just a visitor? John 15:7; Ps. 37:4
  7. What does my prayer life reveal about my attitude toward God? Do I treat the Lord like a spouse, a mistress or even a concubine?
  8. Am I in right relationship with those around me? John 15:12
  9. Am I walking in forgiveness? Mark 11:25; 2 Cor. 2:10,11
  10. Is there harmony in my marriage? As a husband, am I living with my wife in an understanding way? Am I honouring her? 1 Peter 3:7
  11. Am I praying in the Spirit? Eph.6:18; Jude 20
  12. Have I asked the Holy Spirit to help me with my weakness in praying? Rom. 8:26
  13. Am I yielding to the Holy Spirit?
  14. If I am unsure of God's will in a matter, am I nevertheless committed to God that I want His will done, regardless of what it is? Rom. 8:26-28
  15. Do I always pray in Jesus' name? John 14:13,14; 16:23
  16. Am I praying according to God's will as revealed in His Word or by His Spirit?
  17. Am I asking with correct motives? James 4:3
  18. Is my desire to "seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness?" Mt. 6:33
  19. Have I shared my blessings with those less fortunate than I am or am I being stingy? Prov.21:13

We are excited to have Suzette Hattingh minister to us this Sunday and we are looking forward to having Mike and Kay Chance with us from the 20 - 22 March for our KLF Training Days. Preparations for this year's Faith Camp are also being made and we are working toward getting all of KLF to attend this dynamic week in August in Peterborough, England!

By Grace Through Faith!

Glory to the King of Kings!

This past Sunday we resumed our Sunday meetings after a wonderful time in England at Faith Camp. It was an awesome meeting as we met with God and one another. The Lord is teaching us to enter His glory and we’re experiencing His healing and liberating presence! Hallelujah!

God’s Word to us this Sunday was all about grace and the relationship between grace and faith. The Lord is giving us a deeper revelation of grace to encourage us to step out in faith. He showed us the following:
  • The believer has been given the Holy Spirit so that we can understand what God has freely given us. 1 Cor. 2:12
  • Grace is not only God’s unmerited favour but the very gift of Himself to man. Acts 2:33-39; Rom. 8:10,11; Col.2:9; 1 Cor. 1:4; Gal. 2:20,21
  • Jesus, who is full of grace and truth, lives in us! John 1:14,16; Col. 1:27

The Lord then showed us that the problem with most believers is that they confuse grace with faith. Instead of having faith in God’s grace, most Christians try to work at having more faith. However, using the analogy of electricity and a light
switch, we saw that if the electricity represents grace then the switch represents faith. Consequently, the believer must realise that the power is not in the faith but in the grace – faith releases the grace! That is why the apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 2:8 that we have been saved BY grace THROUGH faith!

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Cor. 9:8

Having the revelation that God will make all grace abound to us encourages us to simply step out and release His grace through faith! Once we understand this important truth:

  • It will stop us trying to do what only God can do.
  • It humbles us to realize that our part is only in the releasing and not in the power.
  • It encourages us to step out more to release God’s presence, power and love.
  • It stops us from waiting for what we have already received in Christ and simply getting on with it.

On Sunday evening we had another great opportunity to minister God ‘s love to the poor at the monthly soup kitchen.

This week we’re looking forward to getting together again at our various meetings and particularly getting together with other believers to worship the Lord on the streets of Frankfurt. Hallelujah!

Quote of the week:

“As God’s fellow workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.” 2 Cor. 6:1

Faith Camp '08

Hallelujah!

We've just returned from an awesome week at Faith Camp in Peterborough, England. 27 people from Kingdom Life attended and roughed it out together in tents, through a little rain and lots of wind. It was great to be together and to be part of an amazing time with God. The meetings were terrific with dynamic worship and inspiring preaching. It was truly a time to meet with the Lord with over 5000 other people in many different ways. What is really exciting is the fact that the week was a continuation of what God has been saying to us in these past weeks. Following from His Word to us concerning living to know Him and make Him known, the Lord spoke to us last week about Christ in us and how to manifest His glory in our lives. Through powerful and very practical teaching we learned how to demonstrate God's glory by healing the sick and living according to the Holy Spirit. As we responded to God's Word to us, we saw many people receive physical healing as the Lord glorified Himself! The Father took us from, Revelation to Release to Revival. Hallelujah!

To find out more about what we got up to at Faith Camp check out the Kingdom Faith Blogs and watch video clips of reports of the week.

To Know And To Make Known!

Glory to the God of all creation!

We praise God for the "depth of insight" He is giving us into the "unsearchable riches of Christ" by His Spirit (Eph. 3:4,5,8). God is giving us revelation so that we become a revelation to the world!

Yesterday the Lord showed us the following:

  1. There are two worlds - the physical and the spiritual; the natural and the supernatural; the visible and the invisible.
  2. The physical, natural, visible world proceeds from the spiritual, supernatural, invisible. Gen.1:1
  3. The physical, natural, visible points to the spiritual, supernatural, invisible! Rom. 1:20

"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." Rom. 1:20

  1. God not only revealed His supernatural being through creation but also through His Son, who is the exact representation of God's invisible being. Col. 1:15-20; Heb. 1:3
  2. Jesus came to make the Father known. John 1:14; 14:9-11; 17:6,26
  3. Jesus revealed God's nature - God's love, compassion, kindness, zeal, etc
  4. Jesus revealed God's authority - Jesus taught with authority and exercised God's authority over creation.
  5. Jesus revealed God's power - Jesus healed the sick and raised the dead.

The Lord then showed us that,

  1. Just as Jesus knew the Father and came to make Him known, we are called to know God and make Him known!
  2. God revealed Himself to Paul so that Paul would make Him known. Eph. 3:2-11
  3. God reveals Himself to the Church by His Spirit so that the Church will make Him known to all creation - both seen and unseen! Eph. 3:10
  4. God has predestined the believer to be conformed to the image of His Son who is the exact representation of the invisible God! Rom. 8:29,30
  5. The believer is called to make God's nature known. Eph. 4:22,23; Col. 3:9
  6. The believer is called to make God's authority known. Col. 2:9
  7. The believer is called to make God's power known. Eph.2:10; John 15

As the believer comes to know God through spiritual revelation, His life will point to God as He makes God's nature, authority and power known to the world.

We live to know and to make known!

The podcast for yesterday's sermon will be available in the first week of August.

Next weekend most of Kingdom Life will be attending Faith Camp in Peterborough, England. It will be a dynamic time of meeting with God and spending valuable time together. KLF will therefore not be meeting on the 27 July and the 3 August and will resume meetings on the 10 August!

Why Are We Sitting Here?

Glory to God!

Last week was amazing! We joined up with several others to worship and prayer walk in the centre of Frankfurt's darkest area to invite God's presence, power and love to invade the kingdom of darkness and set the captives free. We praise God for the people who are drawn to us as we worship our King and for the opportunities to speak to them about our Saviour and pray for them!

Last week was our student placements' final week and we have been richly blessed with their anointing and encouragement as they led various meetings and participated in the life of Kingdom Life. We are very grateful to Kingdom Faith College for sending them to us and supporting us in this way. We praise God for our covenant relationship!

Sunday's meeting was awesome once again and the Lord spoke to us about our needing to have the same attitude as the lepers in 2 Kings 7. He showed us that,

  1. The lepers were not prepared to stay where they were and chose to arise. Similarly the Church is called to wake up from its spiritual slumber and be obedient to her commission to arise and shine! Eph. 5:14; Is.60:1
  2. The lepers were prepared to take a risk. Similarly the Church is called to leave her comfort and risk for God's glory and for the sake of the lost!
  3. The lepers didn't keep the plunder for themselves but told the hungry about the abundance they had received! Similarly the Church is called to share what she has been given and not selfishly hoard the blessings and God's abundant spiritual provision!

The heavenly "alarm clock" has sounded and it is time for the Church to rise up and reveal the glory of God and share His glory with the lost!

We are really looking forward to Faith Camp in Peterborough, England from 26 July - 2 August. It will be a refreshing time for all of us and an awesome opportunity to be spiritually tanked up and enjoy true fellowship as we camp together for a week.

Kingdom Life will therefore not be meeting from 21 July - 4 August! We will resume meetings on Sunday 10 August, filled and empowered for the next season with God! Hallelujah!
